Purpose: Design, build, commission, test and install a fully automated Packaging System capable of loading 26ml Applicator Assemblies to a Blister Packing machine. System requirements have been presented by providing pictures, part samples and drawings of the product. This system was integrated with the Calvary 26ml Assembly System. The system loads one 26ml Applicator model type to the packing equipment.
System Description: Two robots unload Applicator assemblies from the assembly machine indexer. Each robot picks four assemblies per cycle. The picked assemblies are rotated, oriented and placed directly into a row of formed blisters. All assembly rejects are placed in a reject chute and then the robot picks from a make-up buffer so that no less than four Applicators are loaded to the blisters each cycle. Vision systems check for the presence of the Applicators and Swab sticks.
