Engineering Students Visit Calvary
Engineering students from the Livonia Central School District paid a visit to Calvary Robotics. These students are part of the Projects Lead The Way (PLTW) nonprofit organization. According to PLTW the organization “PLTW empowers students to develop and apply in-demand, transportable skills by exploring real-world challenges. Through our pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science, students not only learn technical skills, but also learn to solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate, and collaborate. We also provide teachers with the training, resources, and support they need to engage students in real-world learning.”
More about PLTW
The PLTW provides courses for students from a launch point in PreK all the way through high school, with a potential of applying for college credit. All of the courses in the PLTW have a focus to catapult the start of an in-demand career in engineering. The program has grown to be available in all 50 states in over 5000 schools, since its inception in 1997.
